Pterocarpans

Pterocarpans are the second largest group of natural isoflavonoids and are found in the legume family Fabaceae. They are a group of compounds which can be described as benzo-pyrano-furano-benzenes. The scientific literature reports a wide range of pterocarpan biological effects such as antifungal, larvicidal and mosquitocidal. Furthermore, they promote bone regeneration at the injury site and possess anti-HIV activity.
